Peter Necarsulmer advises at board and CEO level for a broad range of Fortune 100 and top-tier Russian companies in the energy and petrochemicals, metals, consumer goods, health care, telecommunications, technology, transportation, banking, and financial sectors.  Peter’s experience counseling corporations and governments on their business, investment and relationship management strategies is unparalleled in the region.

Peter co-founded the firm with Susan Thurman in 1983 in San Francisco. He has based out of PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ Moscow office for 23 years, traveling frequently to work with the firm's clients and offices in the CIS, Europe and the United States. He has advised governmental organizations ranging from the Russian Federal Service for Financial Markets and the World Bank, to TACIS, EBRD and the U.S. Department of Treasury.  Under his leadership, the firm was named 2013 Russian Consultancy of the Year by The Holmes Report.

Peter is the recipient of numerous awards for professional excellence from IABC and PRSA, among others. He is an elected member of the Boards of Directors of the U.S.-Russia Business Council and American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, which named him 2014 Russia Businessman of the Year. Peter earned his BA degree at Stanford University and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Susan Thurman

Susan Thurman

Vice-Chairman and Co-founder
Susan Thurman is Vice Chairman and Co-founder of PBN H+K Strategies. Thurman provides senior strategic communications counsel to the firm and its clients on reputation management, crisis communications, strategic communications and public policy. She has managed dozens of crisis communications projects involving major oil spills and environmental releases, high-profile sexual/racial/age discrimination litigation, product tampering and recalls, incidents of workplace violence and safety, and allegations of financial mismanagement. She is also an expert in creative and business writing.  She has written and edited scores of annual reports, corporate brochures, websites, social responsibility reports, newsletters and other corporate materials.

Thurman has designed, implemented and managed comprehensive strategic communications in the United States, Europe and former Soviet Union.

Thurman is a graduate of San Francisco State University and is the recipient of many professional society awards for excellence in marketing, public relations, advertising and political consulting.

Myron Wasylyk
Chief Executive Officer
Myron leads PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies network of Client Managers serving multinationals and industry champions in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and other CIS countries.  He has more than twenty-five years of professional experience advising clients on government, media and investor relations issues and campaigns in several key industry sectors, including energy, mining and metallurgy, agriculture and food products, investment, banking and financial services, and FMCG, among others.  He launched PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ office in Ukraine in 1997 and helped grow the firm’s business in various CIS markets.  His work in the marketing communications industry has been recognized through numerous industry awards and rankings. 

Prior to joining PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies in 1997, Myron worked for the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of the Interior; the Republican National Committee, and Gavin Anderson & Company.

Myron is a Board Member of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council and served for a decade on the American Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, including two years as its Chairman.  He graduated from Kent State University in Ohio in 1984 and attended graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC.  He is a public relations lecturer at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations program at the Kyiv Institute of International Business (IIB).

Maria Kuzkina

Maria Kuzkina

Vice President, Client Services • Head of Moscow Office
Maria Kuzkina is Head of the Moscow Office and Vice President of Client Services for the PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ Moscow office. In addition to directing the administrative and human resources functions of the Moscow office, Maria plans and coordinates special events for clients, including international conferences, product launches, press and major corporate events. She has organized events for Dolby, Motorola, the visit of U.S. President Barack Obama to Moscow, the U.S. Department of Treasury, PepsiCo, Renaissance Capital, Visa and Nord Stream, among others.

Kuzkina has degrees in philology and psychology from the People's Friendship University of Russia. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Olga Vorobieva

Olga Vorobieva

Chief Financial Officer
Olga is the company’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the firm’s offices in Moscow, Kyiv, Almaty and Washington D.C. 

Prior to joining the firm, Olga served for nine years as chief financial and administrative officer at Ward Howell International, a leading placement agency with offices in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Olga graduated from Moscow State Linguistics University with a degree in English and French. She also has financial management and IFRS accounting certifications from the Moscow State Institute of Economics and Statistics, the Moscow Economics School and the Financial Academy.

Alexey Brevnov

Alexey Brevnov

Vice President, Government Relations and Head of Healthcare Practice
Alexey Brevnov is a Vice President for Government Relations in PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ Moscow office. He also serves as Head of the firm’s Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Practice Group. He is one of the leading experts on the pharmaceutical sector in Russia, with excellent relationships in government, industry, medical and expert community and media. Alexey's current clients include Abbott Laboratories, Baxter International and Sanofi Pasteur among others. Brevnov has more than 13 years’ experience working in public affairs and government relations, having held senior positions at leading Russian and international corporations and non-governmental organizations.

Prior to joining PBN H+K Strategies, Brevnov was Director of External Affairs at Russian pharmaceutical manufacturer Akrikhin. Before that, he worked for three years as Head of External Affairs at GlaxoSmithKline in Russia. He also worked previously at PBN H+K Strategies in Moscow for several years as a Legislative and Regulatory Lobbyist in the Government Relations team. Prior to that, he worked for five years as Chief Lobbyist of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Brevnov has an undergraduate degree in law from the Russian Orthodox Institute and a Masters degree in European law from the Institute of European Law at the Moscow State Institute of International Affairs (MGIMO).

Anton Gubnitsyn

Anton Gubnitsyn

Vice President, Government Relations
Anton directs and coordinates major government relations projects for PBN H+K’s international clients. His clients include Kinross, Sakhalin Energy, ICANN, Praxair, Castorama (Kingfisher) and Metro CC. He helps clients secure their investments in strategic sectors of Russia’s economy, successfully build relationships with the authorities, negotiate tax incentives and access to special economic zones, secure various land and utility permits and resolve commercial and political disputes.
 
Anton has more than a decade of experience in public affairs and communications. Before joining PBN H+K Strategies, Anton worked as Vice Rector for International Cooperation at the Northern Arctic Federal University (NARFU), a Russian Arctic research center for the oil and gas industry.  There he was responsible for developing relationships with international partners such as Shtokman Development AG, Statoil and the Nordic Council of Ministers. 
 
Prior to that, Anton was a civil servant in the local administration before joining the Russian Federation Council as an aide to the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Northern Affairs and Indigenous Peoples. He began his career as a journalist and speechwriter and has participated in numerous political election campaigns.
 
Anton holds a Ph.D. in sociology from St Petersburg State University and a Master’s degree from the Graduate School of Public Administration at Moscow State University. He completed his postdoctoral studies in communications at Laval University in Canada. He received his B.A. in linguistics from Pomor State University.

Oksana Monastyrska

Oksana Monastyrska

Managing Director, Ukraine
Oksana is a senior corporate communications and media relations strategist with more than 17 years of experience in the industry.  She manages strategic communications, corporate positioning and crisis communications services for clients in the banking, energy, finance and investment, FMCG, IT, and telecommunications industries.  She leads the firm's work for Monsanto, Westinghouse, Siemens, Visa, Horizon Capital, and others. Oksana oversees an account staff of 15 professionals and consultants and is also the firm's in-house media and crisis communications trainer.

Prior to joining PBN H+K Strategies, Oksana worked for Bain & Company and international financial institutions such as the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC).  She also managed a market reform public education program for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Oksana holds a law degree from Kyiv National University (2000) and an M.A. in Education from the Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages (1994). Oksana is a guest speaker on business communications at kmbs (Kyiv Mogyla Business School).
Also, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian Association of Public Relations (UAPR).

Inna Lebedeva

Inna Lebedeva

Managing Director, Kazakhstan
Inna supervises client accounts and delivers corporate communications, social and digital media and press relations services for all PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ clients in Kazakhstan.  She has conducted advanced media training for senior managers at Citibank Kazakhstan, MegaFon, Chagala, Dell and Astana Finance, among others. She provides corporate communications and media relations services to PBN H+K Strategies’ clients including Cameco, The Rompetrol Group, Platts, Verny Capital, Platts, Tetra-Pak, Rio Tinto, and others.

Prior to joining PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Inna worked from 2007 to 2009 as deputy director for project management for the ANO Mass-Media Center in Novosibirsk, Russia, where she provided project management, corporate identity, government and media relations services. She also worked for the National Circulation Service as the Siberia Communications Coordinator. From 2007 to 2010, Inna lectured on Russian journalism and modern press services at Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management.

IInna graduated magna cum laude from Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management with a degree in Public Relations. She is fluent in spoken and written English.

Tatiana Trischuk

Tatiana Trischuk

Deputy Managing Director, Ukraine
In addition to directing the financial and human resources functions of the Kyiv office, Tatiana plans and coordinates special events for clients, including international conferences, press briefings, client presentations and special corporate events.

Prior to joining PBN H+K Strategies, Trischuk served for 11 years as Program Coordinator for the three comprehensive Participant Training Projects, which were funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and administered by the Academy for Educational Development (AED). In this capacity, she was responsible for the design and implementation of various  training activities in support of municipal development, social sector reforms, and SME development, among other projects. The training programs were provided to Ukrainian, Moldovan, and Belarusian professionals and were conducted in Ukraine, the United States and other countries.

Tatiana graduated in 1989 from the Kyiv State University of Foreign Languages. She also studied accounting and audit at the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University (2000).

Maria Lyamsheva

Maria Lyamsheva

Director, Marketing Communications, Moscow
Maria is responsible for the marketing communications practice and creating strategies and programs for agency clients. Maria serves as an advisor on local market insights and consumer behavior to many multinational brands and companies working with PBN H+K Strategies in consumer PR. Her clients include FIAT Chrysler, IHG, Shell, MTV, EVRAZ, Pampers, and others.

Before joining PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Maria worked for the PR agency Comunica as an account director and senior strategic advisor for Nestle, Rusnano and Cosmopolitan Russia. Prior to this, Maria was responsible for all external communications at Audi Russia. She also worked at the strategic communications firm Mikhailov & Partners and managed accounts for the Moscow Government Committee for Tourism, the Russian Olympic Committee and the Kalina concern.

Maria graduated from Moscow State University with a degree in Management and Public Relations. Maria is fluent in English.

Natalia Koroleva

Natalia Koroleva

Director, Corporate Communications, Moscow
Natalia has extensive experience developing and implementing comprehensive corporate communications strategies aligned with the objectives and demands of companies operating in dynamic market conditions. Natalia has well-established relationships with the media and specializes in branding, positioning, events and digital communications. Her main clients are MegaFon, IHG, Brand South Africa, Dolby and Viacom, among others.

Natalia has more than 13 years’ experience in the communications business both in agencies and leading PR departments in-house. She headed up corporate communications for construction company YIT in the Moscow region and at consulting firm Praedium and has also implemented strategic communications programs for international and local clients in the FMCG, insurance, fashion and luxury sectors (L’Oreal, Richemont Group, Parmigiani, Nestle Waters and Ingosstrakh, among others).

Natalia graduated from Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO), where she majored in public relations. She is fluent in Russian, English, German and Italian.

Dominic Fean

Dominic Fean

Director for Public Affairs
In PBN H+K Strategies' Government Relations team, Dominic provides strategic counsel and research services to clients across a number of sectors. He advises on Russian political decision-making, crisis management, regulatory developments and the alignment of business strategy with government priorities. Heading up PBN H+K Strategies’ Public Affairs offerings, he helps clients  to align their interests with those of other stakeholders in order to influence government priorities. He also regularly contributes to GR projects in PBN H+K’s other markets. Since joining the firm in 2012, clients served include: Amsted Rail, ArcelorMittal, Baxter, Castorama, Moscow-based diplomatic missions, Nike, Philips Lighting, the Russian Copper Company, Statoil, Sovcombank, Tinkoff Credit Systems, UKTI, and Visa.

Before joining PBN, Dominic worked as a political analyst at EDF’s Moscow bureau for six months, under an Alfa Bank bursary. He was previously Junior Research Fellow at the Russia/NIS Center of IFRI, the French Institute of International Relations. There he carried out research on Russian and EU policy towards regional integration in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. He also lectured on Eastern European politics at Sciences Po-Paris, gave frequent media interviews, and contributed articles to the national and international press.

Dominic has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Sheffield in French & History, and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from King’s College London. He speaks English, French and Russian.

Yuriy Prikhodko

Yuriy Prikhodko

Public Affairs and Government Relations Director
Yuriy directs and coordinates major government relations accounts for PBN H+K clients in Ukraine. He carries over 20 years of experience in government relations, commercial diplomacy, and business advocacy delivered to dozens of multinational companies pursuing opportunities in the NIS region. Yuriy  provides senior-level advice on business strategy, domestic and international policy, issues resolution, and crisis management.

Prior to joining PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Yuriy worked as a Public and Government Affairs Advisor to ExxonMobil.  Besides the Ukraine portfolio, Yuriy handled political and regional issues of relevance to the corporation, most notably the US-EU-Russia relations and corresponding sanctions. From 1993 - 2012 Yuriy was part of US Embassy Kyiv working as a principal local advisor and  analyst to the U.S. Department of Commerce in the formulation of the bilateral commercial strategy, planning and administering trade development programs.  He personally handled most complex business advocacy cases involving U.S. companies, including  Boeing, UTC, Raytheon, Caterpillar, Delta Airlines, and many more.

Yuriy is  SE MBA candidate from the International Management Institute in Kyiv, and  a graduate from Kyiv State Linguistics University.  Yuriy was awarded US Department of Commerce Bronze Medal and was recognized as a Foreign National Employee of the Year (2010)

Arina Khodyreva

Arina Khodyreva

Director, Technology + Digital
Arina is Director of the Technology + Digital Practice. She helps clients shape, develop and implement strategies for the Russian market, providing strategic advice and guidance, as well as positioning, media relations and influencer engagement services. Her specific focus is on hi-tech, the media and internet. Arina leads accounts for key e-commerce and tech clients including Facebook, Instagram, Alibaba and WhatsApp.

Before re-joining PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies in her current role, Arina worked at Yandex, Russia’s largest tech company, where she managed communications and content creation for the company’s new business unit, Yandex.Verticals. Arina has strong experience in product re-launches and launching mobile apps. Arina also earlier worked at PBN H+K providing media support for entertainment, tech and retail brands such as Viacom, Nickelodeon, IKEA SCR and Castorama.

Arina graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) with a major in PR and International Journalism. She has also completed a Bachelor exchange program at the School of Management, Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany. Arina is fluent in Russian, English and German and has basic knowledge of Japanese.
